Happy 3rd Birthday, Alexander!

Well, my darling boy, where has the time gone? You're such a big boy now. You have started pre-school and you're well on your way to being potty trained. You have such a sweet nature and you adore your sissies even though you antagonize them to get their undivided attention. You laugh heartily at silly scenes in movies and get a huge kick out of the various noises you can make with your cheeks pinched (you and Kathryn discovered this great trick.) You are one of the happiest people I have the pleasure of being with and, trust me, mothering you truly is a pleasure. You tend to be rather demanding from time to time in keeping with our expectations of a self-respecting three-year old. Overall, you're an absolute joy and we adore you to pieces. We're looking forward to all that this next year brings. Thank you for being such a light in our lives.

We love you very much, Pumpkin Pie,

Mommy, Daddy, Kathryn and Juliana

Singing Happy Birthday

This is your "on your birthday" cake. I was a little behind so the 15-minute decorating job wasn't my best work, but it tasted good. (It didn't look so crooked in real life...must have been the camera angle...yes, that's our story and we're sticking to it.)

Kathryn helped you blow out your trick candles.

Could you be any sweeter? No, I really don't think so.

So big. Sniffle. Sniffle.

Coming Soon: Alexander's party at The Cabin with the REAL cake.
