Friday Flashback: Happy 1st Birthday, Alexander!

September 2006
Park Pavilion

This was the cake offered to guests. Alexander had his own special 1st birthday cake (top right.)

A tentative finger tests the water:

And he didn't stop eating until we took the cake from him fearing he'd have a stomach ache from eating so much! A couple times, he got lazy and put his whole face in the cake!

Ampa and Ama with the birthday boy.

Alexander's guests enjoyed doing crafts with foamies.
Katie, Rashmita, Denise, Becky, Stephanie, Jill, Abby, Lori, Delaney, Meghan, Josie

Big sis, Juliana, ready for cake.

GiGi made the trip to Ohio to help celebrate the big day.

Big sis, Kathryn, helping Alexander with his presents.

I'm a big boy, now!

Oh, how I love first birthdays! It's such a big milestone and they are so much fun! Alexander's party was held at the Pavilion just in front of our housing development. It was a beautiful, sunny day and the kids had a great time playing on the playground and making crafts with foamies. Ama, Ampa and GiGi made the trip out to help celebrate and lots of neighbor friends joined us. Alexander certainly didn't disappoint when it came time for the cake and we took a ton of pictures. At one point, someone asked if we wanted him to eat the whole thing. We had gotten distracted and didn't realize he had already eaten a quarter of his cake. That was a tummy ache waiting to happen!

Thus concludes our 1st Birthday series of Friday Flashbacks. Tune in next Friday for another fun installment! Have a great weekend! :)
