A Sad State of Affairs

Alexander asked for a beena last night. I said, "You mean a noona?" To which he excitedly exclaimed, "Yes!" I'm so sad. Bananas are so much better when they're noonas, but Daddy said we need to teach him the right words. The old spoil-sport. Alexander also tried to say Kathryn the other day and came very close to saying Juliana correctly. :( Pretty soon he'll be saying everything right and it won't be fun anymore. Well, too bad. I'm still calling the girls Poppen and Noona and you can't stop me. So there.

How could you determine that 'beena' was 'banana'? Far cry from 'noona'! Not to be confused with Juliana.

Because beena sounds more like banana and he was pointing to them on the counter (that's what kind of gave it away.) :)
