They actually only stayed on the couch like this for a little while, thankfully, as I kept having to remind them not to kick one another. They played some and both felt pretty good by the end of the day. Juliana returned to school today, while Kathryn stayed behind to follow the 24-hour fever-free policy. She wasn't happy about it, but spent a lot of time on the couch so she wasn't quite ready to head back yet, anyway. After the whole saga of trying desperately to collect a second urine sample from Juliana, the culture came back from Sunday's test and there's no indication of a UTI. Spoke to the nurse who said it must have been a viral infection. That would explain Kathryn's sudden fever. This is fantastic news because Juliana no longer needs the antibiotic that she's gotten more and more resistant to taking. I'm looking forward to returning to a normal routine tomorrow...given, of course, that Master Alexander escapes this one...
